Test your english online with Cambridge

If you are not sure which Cambridge ESOL exam is right for you then we can help.

Cambridge ESOL is currently piloting a quick, free online test on our website which will:

    • give you an idea of your English level
    • tell you which Cambridge ESOL exam might be the most appropriate for you.The test contains 20 multiple-choice questions and, at the end of the test, you are given a score and given guidance on which Cambridge ESOL exams you should consider based on your score.

You can also check your answers with the correct ones once you have finished the test.

    Begin the test.

We would really like to know what you think of the test. Remember to give us your feedback by clicking on the ‘Give Feedback’ button when you reach your results page.

Please note: This is not a Cambridge ESOL exam and the test scores and levels are very approximate.  It cannot be used as proof of a formal language qualification.
